We want to know: November 1

What is one of the most important things that parenthood has taught you?
Post your comment below and let us know what you think.

  1. I have learned that there is no such thing as perfection in parenting, and it’s not a fair standard for myself or my children. Instead, I focus on being aware, present, and open to whatever reality brings at a given moment.

And– treats and down-time are important for everyone!

  2. I’ve learned to slow down, enjoy the wonder of the world around us, take time to play, decorate anything and everything, listen, be patient and creative, and maximize joy.

  3. I’m learning to respect and to appreciate the people my kids are growing into – they are their own selves, irrespective of my vague hopes for them. As a mother, I find it easy both to overestimate and underestimate my influence.
